It was often brought up in class that Biases can easily get in the way when studying history. Not everyone was easily able to understand this concept as many people do not even know their own biases. A world without biases is impossible, and it is also impossible to study history without them. This is not necessarily a bad thing and often when trying to interpret events from the past peoples biases bring in new perspectives that were not seen before. It becomes an issue when people let their biases blind them from other alternative perspectives. By trying to accept all perspectives you are more likely to fully interpret an event. This opinion of mine may not be agreed by everyone. Sometimes it is hard to think that your opinion and perspective of an event may only be lead by your biases not by actual facts and evidence.
